Member Notice – Red Flag Warning
Due to a Red Flag Warning and high wind conditions expected in the region, MVEA is taking additional safety precautions and will be operating portions of our system in one-shot mode. These precautions apply to several portions of our service territory.
Operating in one-shot mode means that if a fault or outage occurs on our lines, the system will not automatically attempt to restore power. Instead, crews must manually inspect the line and safely restore service. As a result, restoration may take longer than usual if an outage occurs.
At this time, we are not planning any outages for our members. This notice is being shared as a precaution, and many members may not experience any impact. Our crews are closely monitoring conditions and will provide updates if necessary.
